Dear VGOF

There is an issue that I wanted to bring to your attention. Right now on the Whitehouse.gov/petitions page there are two Petitions concerning the Hughes Amendment and NFA laws. This is a chance to send a message loud and clear to Congress what we as gun owners think about these unjust and illegal laws. I'm begging that we not fall into apathy. Too many times I know I've skipped over things like this because I told myself it wouldn't matter. Please, lets not let this one not matter. The links provide may or may not work for you. If they don't work please go to Whitehouse.gov/petitions. You'll have to register before you can add your name. Search for 'Repeal' and the two Petitions are the 1st and 3rd items. Again, please help us.

You'd better petition your Senators and Representatives. Chances are they're at least a little bit worried about what the electorate wants. Obama, as has already been observed, does not give a tinker's damn about our Second Amendment rights. Probably just get your name on a "domestic Terrorism" watchlist if you dare to champion 2A rights to the Obama Whitehouse.

I second that. Petitioning the White House is fairly pointless. Representatives are the ones who write and pass (or not pass, depending on the bill in question) legislation.

Also, must agree with the "Terrorist Watch List" observation. I'd hate to have all my pot-scrubbers confiscated because I signed a petition.
