1. VCDL Pot Luck Picnic in Salem, Oct. 15

There will be a family pot luck picnic at Longwood Park, 611 E Main St, Salem VA 24153 for all VCDL members, families and any guests who would like to attend on October 15. Early birds will start arriving at 10 AM, and food will be served at 11 AM. Please bring a food dish to share with others. VCDL will furnish plates, napkins, eating utensils, soft drinks and ice. A major company will furnish potato chips and related items for our pleasure.

Guest speaker to be anounced.

Please RSVP with numbers attending to Al Steed, Jr. at SWVAgunshows@vcdl.org so we can plan on having proper items available.

The Virginia Citizens Defense League thanks the following member-activists who generously gave of their time to advance and help defend the rights of their fellow gun owners by working our recruiting and information booths at gun shows and events around the state.

As an all volunteer organization, VCDL depends on YOU to volunteer your time at our area events, where we recruit new activists and keep gun owners informed. a. CHARLOTTESVILLE, RRPC annual fun day http://rrpc.org, September 24

Rivanna Rifle and Pistol Club in Charlottesville is having its annual Fun Day on Sept. 24. This event is open to club members, their families and guests. VCDL has been invited to set up a table and educate folks on what we do.

We need some volunteers to help man the booth. Please help out if you can. Contact Pat Webb at pat.webb@vcdl.org to help.
