Anyhow, as I mentioned in my other posts, I am a practicing attorney, although not a criminal law attorney. I consider myself to be a constitutional libertarian. My biggest political hot-button topic is adherence to the original understanding of the Constitution, including the concept that Congress has only the limited powers enumerated therein, versus the jealous protection of individual rights - and of course, in particular, the right to keep and bear arms.
I live in far western Henrico County and work in downtown Richmond.
I have handguns, rifles and shotguns - including an eeeeeeevil "assault weapon" - a Ukrainian SKS, replete with folding bayonet and grenade launcher. I am not a hunter. I have a CHP and usually have my Para Ordnance OPS 3-1/2" barrel .45 ACP in my truck with me.
So far, from what I've seen, this looks like a very good forum! I hope to be able to provide helpful information here in discussions of law and regulations, since that's what I do for a living. As I've mentioned in my few posts, I'm starting work on a project to gather relevant, significant case law in VA and put together a "treatise" of sorts on Virginia law regarding carrying weapons and using force in self-defense.
As I have time, I'll fill in more blanks in my profile.
