The idea started congealing from this thread...

I think Bill's place is in Charlotte county.

Oh, and I'd keep your hardware away from the boats if you go out on the water... I smell tragic hardware losses coming on. :hysterical:

(note to self - order up one of those big magnets)

Count me in! Talked to Sgt.Bill awhile the other day and after hearing about his place I just gotta go! Found out we only live a few miles from each other and that he has been in the shop a couple times. It was nice to be able to put a face with the member from the forum. Looking forward to meeting the rest of you all.

I'm leaning in that direction. I know the last time I went down to Bill's with DK, I had a blast. I'm even working on Mrs. Tiki.

She said she would consider coming down if there is a better situation than out behind the barn for relieving herself. (I guess she remembered that part of the story more than the bonding over guns and the beauty of the outdoors.)

Will a 23-foot Sea Ray fit on the lake? How deep is it? (that's what she said)

Good point Andy. I think we'll have to take up a collection and rent a porta-potty for the ladies.

I even have some tannerite left over.

I'll be in Roanoke on the 5th and 6th on a fishing trip, so more than likely I won't be able to make it down sadly. I do hope you all have fun when the time rolls around though.

How much is a weekend porta potty rental?

The last time I had a North American Hunting club weekend meet here I think I rented a Port A potty for like $75.00 for the weekend. It was new and clean. The only reason we will need one is if a lot of the lady's wish to come on down. If only a few show up then the house facilities will be open to them.

My son and I are coming and definitely interested as far as BBQ goes. Let me know if I can contribute funds for charcoal or chicken. We both love to fish and shoot and this sounds great. Any limit on firearms? Will AR15's and AR180 be okay? Don't want to come over-gunned if there is such a thing. Looking forward to meeting some forum members and putting faces to names.

Long arms will be fine. My problem is that the pistol and rifle range are real close together so we can only realy shoot one or the other at a time. But we will work it out.

I just sent an email to the board about this Shoot and Meet (should we call it SgtBill's S&M?) lol

So, hopefully, we'll have a bunch of folks chime in with plans to mark their calendars for the 5th.

Speaking of calendars, I also added this thread to the VGOF Events Calendar.

Looks like I'll be able to make it... I'd be willing to bring my casting set up to go along will the reloading part if others are interested. It would be a cool way to pick up a few profiles for testing before buying a certain mold...
