Absolutely. They are looking to heap more chains around the shoulders of millions of Americans. Make them more dependent than ever on the nanny state so "they" have more control...alot of folks supporting this and those that dont are in for a very rude awakening but it will be too late...the chains will be securely in place.

I'm single and mine costs me 6K a year already out of pocket ..It's is rapidly approaching the I can't afford it any longer phase,,,It started out at $2400 a year and has increased to that figure in only 4 years time,,So now with the proposed Health Care Act I can look forward to spending even more because the Democrats and the little boy/child in the White House want to play social experiment here in this country. All the good that could be added to the legislation goes against the Democrats political contributors and the people they need to do political favors for. None of the suggestions by the Republican side have even been considered. If this thing goes on like it is all we can look forward to is paying through the nose for something that won;t benefit a single one of us by the time it is all said and done,, Hand outs to the lazy/useless and the privelidge to pay for it by those that work and actually pay their fair share every payday,,,.

Bob, we have written, faxed, called, and protested to our congressmen and both senators repeatedly. Sadly not enough have screamed loud enough and long enough. And, the libs really want this one in their cap no matter what the people want. This is their holy grail and they will stop at nothing to get it.

This is a lesson that for the next one - we need to start yelling the moment they mention it and not shut up until it goes away. Its interesting to note that Young is from South Korea and we sometimes watch the Korean news. They protest quite frequently as it seems their politicians are even more corrupt than ours. They all ban together and riot in the streets, turn over cars, block traffic, and just generally cause one big ruckus over things as simple as the government proposing to build a bridge where they dont want it to be....its quite a spectacle...its funny that in the end they usually get their way...the people that is. I asked her the other day that if the government knows the people are going to cause such a mess why do they come up with these ideas. She told me that not every Korean joins the protest and its usually a minority and alot of people actually want the bridge (or whatever).

The moral of the story is that the squeaky wheel gets the oil. We aint been squeaky enough on this one and many others...
