yeah , I'd have to give you that point. Harris and Klebold proved that.wbtrunx wrote: As I mentioned before, I don't feel that video games cause people to want to kill, but do make it easier for some kid to pull the trigger without thinking about the reality of the situation. I would argue that the current generation is much more numb to violence and gore than generations gone by.

The F2000 is actually one of the more accurate semi-auto guns I own. That said, I still can legally own ONLY the semi-auto version. So to say that the automatic doesn't have that "rise on recoil" inaccuracy you find in the game would be hard to say.wbtrunx wrote:
Username, please tell me the F2000 is better in real life than the piece of just they make it out to be in the game.
It's strange, most of the weapons are unrealistically accurate with only a couple exceptions. I love using the .44 Magnum, especially when 300-350 meter head shots aren't difficult.
Also, just a friendly tip in case you didn't know; weapon mounted shotguns have the best range of all the available shotguns in the game. Figure that one out.
I'm not sure if this is true for PC since I am a console gamer, but I have found most of the inaccuracy in MW2 guns can be eliminated by "burst firing" an automatic gun.
Also, the addition of a silencer really changes the way some automatic weapons fire to the much greater accuracy side of things.
Does the PC have as much glitching going on as the Xbox? I am very tired of all the glitching on the XBOX, between the repeated care package glitch, the javelin glitch, the super fast lightweight / marathon care package marker glitch, and then people who are clearly exploiting the game design in other ways is about to make me shelve the game for a while until they work out the kinks.

Re: Gamers?
I haven't witnessed any glitches. I have run into maybe 3-4 hackers/modders (one aimbot and a few wallers) in my many weeks of playing.
I usually run with a silencer and burst fire the autos. This does help with accuracy, but even then, the F2000 shoots more like a blunderbuss than any other rifle available. I still want to try one at a range sometime though.

If you have an Xbox 360 and you're into realistic military first-person shooters you need to check out "Operation Flashpoint - Dragon Rising." It is slower paced than the arcade style shooters and real tactics apply. All weapons seem close to the real thing and ballistics are very accurately modeled. You can drive a lot of vehicles (ground, air, water) that are very close to the real thing as well. By far the best first person shooter out there but it gets less play because you don't kill 10 or 15 guys per minute.

Re: Gamers?
I have too say, I had a PS3. Problem is, I can't seem too get into FPSs. Way back in the day, I use too play Counter-Strike. After I get into military weapons, the shameful thing was when I watched people play FPSs, I could usually name all the guns. About the comment above about the F2000, (FS2000 for civilians) I did have one but never fired it. Let me tell you, your going too pay a pretty penny for it, as with any Fabrique Nationale firearm. Apart from accuracy, it depends on the shooter, it's definently good technology for infantry compared too an Kashnikov (AK) or AR-15. Apart from that I never thought video games gave correct accuracy for guns, hence the reason it's just a game.
