Did I win yet?!
Re: Win an AR-15 Rifle at VGOF!
You know we all have that guy we know that talks all the big stuff about shooting someone if need be and getting their CCWP . Kind of sends goose bumps up your spine thinking about them their going around just waiting for something to happen. You know my first though was you know this guy really should rethink totting a gun around.
Well the guy I know was sitting at his table on day
. He looked out the window seeing a young male beating
on a young lady and trying to shove her in the truck of a car.
He knew something was not right, he retrieved his S&W .357 sig pistol and went to stop the beating. He ran up behind the guy and told him to stop or he would shoot him. The guy stopped and fled to his drivers seat and speed away. Others in her family had already called 911. Turns out the young lady had just the day before gotten a restraining order place on the guy.
The guy turned out to be her ex-boyfriend , who had just beaten her the day before, ie, restraining order. This day he also beat on her and made her drink Clorox and was attempting to kidnap her.
Boy was I wrong, you know it's easy to sit back and somewhat judge someones action. The police when they final got there even said he probably saved her life.
Goes to show we never know who legally needs to be packing because you never know who may even save you one day.
Just though I'd get that out there others good guys save people too. thes all took place earlier this year.

I took the police several day to apprehended the guy. They charged him with attempted murder due to Clorox, malicious/unlawful wounding and kidnapping.

I got my CWP because #1 I can in Oregon with the minimum of fuss and #2 Is I can't run or fight anymore. I sincerely hope I never have to draw on any one but I refuse to b e a victim. There are a lot of scumbags that look at an old cripple like an ATM machine- just say the magic words and collect some money. gordoat

Re: Win an AR-15 Rifle at VGOF!
I was pulled over tonight by a Emporia ,Va.city cop .
As he approached my jeep asking for licenses and registration. I informed him right away of my ccw and that my firearm was on me. He asked me were it was in relation to my wallet. I told him both were on my right hip. He asked me to reach give him my permit and for weapon slowly, he asked if he could hold on to my firearm while he ran my info. I handed it to him holster and all. I got a verbal warning to turn on my headlights. That he had stopped me for only running my parking lights. (Hard to tell in town sometimes)
All in all very nice officer and he did not over react like a lot of the cops may do, and I didn't get a ticket. Here's to positive experience.
