Something is wonky here!
So when I plug the numbers in I get 96301 post. This means either this site is padding it's count or it's not reporting an accurate number... don't get me wrong, I'm not accusing anyone of impropriety, just saying. Also the site response time is WAY down, but I have a feeling that;s because all these people are on her trying to get this rifle... Who can blame them... it's a hell of an opportunity! What do you think?

When the contest for started it was stated that there were two counters, one at the bottom and one at the top. Neither matched due to some issue but the top counter is what the contest was running off of. I'm not sure which counter you're receiving your numbers from.

...and luckily that top counter is disabled, only seems fair.

I agree as it stops people from doing what I.....well was planning to do which was to wait with a post ready on my laptop for the counter to reach 2 or 1 and the post at the last second. So this way it really is a fair contest.

The difference in the two counters is this:
One count is the number of posts that are actually saved in the VGOF database. There have been a lot of deletions due to spam, mostly - so those posts no longer exist, which causes the "actual" post count to be much lower than the number of posts that have been posted.
The other count, which is what is being used for the AR15 giveaway is of each and every post that has ever been posted, regardless of whether it still exists in the database (i.e., the unique post ID).
So, the winner of the AR will be the person who authors the post with Post ID of 100,000.
