I'm going to be there probably all three days. I'll be looking for:

-Either a S&W 17 (.22 target revolver) or a S&W 14 (.38 target revolver) (not likely to find one for ~$400, though)
-reloading supplies (primers, powders, bullets, possibly brass) for .38SPL and .45ACP
-reloading equipment (I 'need' a hand-primer, a vibratory case cleaner + cleaning media, and maybe a shellholder for .45AR)
-.38SPL ammo
-a Tyler T-grip adapter for my snubby revolver

Mostly, I'll be there to walk around and fondle the guns.

I've been to every show since November 2006 (maybe I missed one or two) and the vendors are pretty much all the same, and in usually the same places. If you want a good selection of handguns at decent prices, Trader Jerry's is a good dealer to buy from. For good prices (and gruff, impersonal--almost rude--service, and a more limited selection), Dark Sun Surplus (right across the ways from Trader Jerry's) is the place to beat. Pretty much everywhere else handgun-wise will have a very small selection or be very over priced, with a few exceptions (depending on what you're looking for).

That is too funny. I bought my Ruger from Dark Sun at the last show and you are SO correct. I felt like a nuisance but the price was really competetive so I didnt care! I'll probably go Saturday morning too as I have an appointment to get my oil changed in the afternoon. If I see anyone in VGOF-wear, I'll be sure to say hi!

I plan to be there on SaturdayAM with the father-in-law, and then hit BRA later that afternoon (he seems to have fun shooting the SIG, so I'll let him have at it).

Question, OC'g at the Show, what are the SOP's....? Especially need some intel here, in light of the Richmond ND last week.

All guns must be unloaded, no loaded magazines (if you bring one in and they know about it, they'll keep the ammo at the door until you pick it up on your way out), all guns will be zip-tied at the door. After that, you're good to go.

Went to the one earlier in the year, found all the parts I needed to build my AR. I'm going to be heading back for a) ammo, assuming I can find 1000rds of .45 without getting bent over, b) a GP100 or similar .357, and c) Springfield 1903, again assuming I don't get bent over.

I'll be there when the show opens on Friday, since I'm working the weekend shift.
