Hi all. I am currently a Maryland Shooter but the girlfriend and I have plans to move to the Arlington area sometime in the next two months. I'm looking forward to living in a state that is a lot more gun friendly. Unfortunately I will still have to work in Maryland.
Looking forward to becoming a contributing member here and to using my ccw permit!

if you're referring to obtaining a virginia permit, be aware that it's only for concealed handguns (chp), no other "weapons" allowed (ccw, cwp, however else permit is abbreviated) and the virginia permit wouldn't be honored in maryland. also, if you currently have a maryland permit, i don't believe it's honored here. Welcome from a fellow immigrant! I got out of PRMD about 3 months ago and firmly planted myself in NoVa. I also still try to keep up with happenings north of the border on MDShooters, but I don't post much. Just a lurker.

I grew up in MD myself, but escaped from there in the late 80's, and have called Virginia home for most of the last 21 years. You'll like it here -- we have much more freedom than the socialist utopia to our north. I have good memories of my childhood, but sadly, that Maryland no longer exists. Welcome home!
