Out of those 3...I would have to say Kimber.... All three are reliable but Kimbers have nicer trigger pulls out of the box.

Great choice in the Crimson Carry!

I have handled and fired all three brands and find Kimbers the best. I have 3 now and they've been nearly perfect performers. As has been said, their triggers feel great right out of the box. The few times that I've used their customer support, they have been outstanding.

Kimbers are just a bit tighter in my opinion, but I don't think you could go wrong with any. My carry piece is a Springfield Operator Lightweight. I'm probably gonna pick up a Kimber Super Carry Pro soon though as a replacement.

You should be happy with any of the above. Your decision may be more about which specific features you want, and which company offers something the closest to what you like or want in a 1911.

you will be over charged for a colt and not get a good gun for the value...they are making a come back and improving what they allowed to become crap. In my opinion the Kimber is a better buy for the value and so many models to choose from. I love all the kimbers ive had in the past. But that being said, my Springfield is still my fastest most accurate pistol i own and its a Ultra Compact while all my Kimbers have been full size...cant figure it out on that one. Kimber and Colt have pretty sucky customer service if anything would happen to your gun but Springfield is very friendly and helpful and do great warrenty work.

My experience with Kimber customer service has been outstanding. They replaced an old rear target sight without charge after a decade because I lost the set screw for it. They also replaced a white dot front sight after the dot fell out years later. They never batted an eye about either fix despite the pistol being way out of warranty.

I recently sent a pistol back for some work and a trigger job. They called me when they received the pistol to go over what I wished to have done. The accomplished the work in a few weeks, and then called me when they completed the work to arrange the pistol's return to me. They provided very personal service.

Kimber has been courteous and helpful every time I've called them, which hasn't been often. That's one of the big reasons that I own more Kimbers than any other manufacturer's firearms.
