Well...

It's a Martini. Beyond that, it's hard to say with what's posted, as the manufacturer's markings have been scrubbed off the receiver. Either that or I just can't make out what's there. If I could make out the proof marks better I might be able to determine when and where it was stamped.

It seems very odd to have a scrubbed .22 Martini conversion. The shops that did it (Bonehill, Greener, etc.) were usually quite proud of their work.

You might also want to check out gunboards.com they have some people there that could help also. People here are very knowledgeable but they are another source of info. Nice looking rifle, does it shoot well?
Freedom Isn't Free, the price is visible at Veterans Administration(VA) hospitals all across the country! Remember all veterans, especially those of Korea, the "Forgotten War"- God Bless America.

Looks like it was made up for Cadets at a military school the front band looks like
one off a Long lee Enfield it's odd there is no lower band is it a true 22 rimfire or is the chamber a little large?

I may be wrong, but didn't the the Royal Nepalese Army armories do a few .22 Martini conversions as well. Could this be one of them?

Nepal had all kinds of crap squirrelled away, so it's certainly possible. Any way to ID one of them?
