Church Security?

Post by policepro »

I have been the Diretcor of security at my church in Ricmond,Va since 2008. You might ask why would someone need security at a church? The answer is, while we are sitting in our comfortable chairs in sunday school and during worship service there are non churched persons and sex offenders trying to take from your parked vehicles and ifiltrate your church body. In fact I suggest that every church impliment a church security team no matter how small or how rural your facility may be. I have developed a website that deals with church security issues that I encourage you to investigate to learn more about security at church. Please visit http://www.centurionsecurityconsultants.com for information on church security and links to business partners and training to hep get you started.

And lest we forget the church shootings...

The barbarians no longer stop at the door of the church, but they have forced their way through.

I was in ministry for 15+ years at one place. We had men (and women) come in furious that their abused spouse was in there getting counseling. We have had some crackpots/ unstable folks who used to love following the christian singers and bands.... When Rebecca ST James (she was 17-18 at the time) was in town there was a wack job who wanted to take her virginity...

Uh huh... no need for church or ministry security.... :hysterical:

Alot more churches are becoming aware of the need for security. I've done a number of firearms training classes for various churches in the Richmond area. Many now have armed staff members during services.

This is especially fun where I live - we have dozens of "stat-up" churches that meet in protected mass-kill zones (schools).
