Navy Federl Credit Union now has their facilities posted.

Which is funny because their ad of 5 Military Members, 3 are armed, and therefore would NOT be allowed into their facilities.

It's not the OC people I'd worry about, it's the thugs who wear hoodies and sunglasses when it's 90 degrees out.

but then it's also posted no sunglasses or hoodies...
The day they outlaw firearms is the day I become a criminal.

I love signs that say no guns allowed. Cause that makes criminals curse and simply walk away.

The Buffalo Wild Wings in Charlottesville also has sign that says no firearms allowed. If you open carry in you will be asked by management to leave. I never saw their sign the first time I went in. Too much of other crap posted on the windows to see their two inch sign.

Babies R Us, Sterling, VA off Rt 7 has the ugly No Guns sign and red-slashed circle. Probably corporate policy of Toys R Us I suspect.

Had to remove and lock up my gun before the wife, new twins, and I went shopping. I'd rather not go there again, so I'm going to keep my eyes open for another store that has as large a selection of baby stuff. Our Target in Leesburg has a section but it's not as wide on selection as I'd like.

Anywho, thought I'd post this up to add to the list.

I see nothing at all on their site about no legal firearms, and I also noticed the past few times there that no door I have entered has had a sign banning all firearms. I have to wonder if their policy has changed.
They've got the signs up now. There's one as you enter the mall from Wal-mart that prohibits all weapons.

Sigh. How do you get an entire mall to change the rules?

Does anyone here produce anything like this?

Now that restaurant carry is going into effect in Ohio on 9/30/11 there are going to be a lot of these given out in Ohio over the next couple years.

Oh, and to answer your question. OFCC has a letter called "Ohio’s Concealed Handgun Law - What Every Business Owner Needs to Know" in .pdf format that anyone can download, print out, and give or mail to businesses that are CPZs.

It's been found that sometimes the businesses in a mall are not aware that the mall staff (owner? manager?) has posted the mall.
Shotgunning the cards (from several customers) or the letter to all the businesses sometimes gets the gun buster (CPZ) signs removed.

Oh, also, OFCC has a "Do Not Patronize While Armed" online database as mentioned on the No Guns - No Money (NGNM) card.

That's why it's called "Concealed Carry."

I finally made it through all 11 pages of this thread.

One comment: Ohio legislature just passed and the Governor signed into law restaurant carry. That is, CC in establishments that serve beer or alcoholic beverages by the drink if the person has a valid CHL.
The law goes into effect 9/30/11.
CPZ signs are going up all over the state.

One restaurant chain mentioned on the Ohio gun forums specifically is Buffalo Wild Wings as someone has already pointed out here.

You can find a very comprehensive list of "VCDL - Firearm Unfriendly Businesses in Virginia" at the Virginia Citizens' Defense League website.
"Very comprehensive"? No. It hasn't been updated in forever, and they're very hesitant to add any more entries. For example, they refused to list Whole Foods, even though Whole Foods is anti-gun and has a corporate policy against carrying, but the stores aren't posted because another policy controls what can be posted.

IMO, VCDL doesn't want it to look like there's a large number of unfriendly businesses out there.

It looks like Navy Federal is anti this thread has a response that sure sounds like it.

The Green Turtle at the Dulles Town Center is also posted.
I spoke to the manager and he does not agree with the policy, but is a corporate thing.

Surprise, surprise. They are a Peoples Republic of MD company.

Virginia Credit Union says:
I was made aware that you had a question on the possession and carrying of firearms on Virginia Credit Union properties. With the exception of Law Enforcement Personnel, we strongly discourage anyone from having firearms in or on any of our properties. Firearms can increase the safety risk to our members and employees.
I asked if they "strongly discouraged" or prohibited carry. His response was that he "didn't want to get into a debate about it". Posted or no, VACU is not our friend.

Now i did not read all 11 pages but the Potomac mills thing is interesting. I am probally there once a week for something. I have never seen a sign and i look. I'm not sure i want to go if not armed. I was there today in line to see santa with my kids. I was as always concealed. I also have not seen a sign at the toys r us near there either.

As far as banks go, the fact they don't allow CC does not bother me.

I am pretty sure it needs to be clearly indicated at all entrances to be enforcible.

Not that I know of. I used to have photoshop so this would have been easy let me see if I can find something to make it work.

I believe Ed Levine (FlyBoyEd) at OCDO made something similar to that. I'll dig around and see if I can find it.

A couple things I found so far, but I'm not sure if they were made by the same person.

Here is a version I did really quick. Don't forgot the assault and DUI. Criticism is welcome since it's easy to edit. I ended up using GIMP not nearly is intuitive as photoshop but works just as well.
