I live near Richmond and am interested in purchasing the Beretta PX4 Subcompact 9mm. My local range does not have one available for rental and the local gun store said to try this forum and see if I get lucky.

Call Blue Ridge Arsenal and see if they have the subcompact. They do rent the full size and I think the compact as well. They have the sub for sale, but not the others.
I shot the PX4 fullsize and I love it....accurate shots and noticeablly less recoil.
Not sure I want to go to the sub because it doesn't use the same barrel design...no rotating barrel.
Sharpshooters in Springfield VA may be closer. They have the PX4 full for rental.
