Saiga 12 in Virginia

Post by FenrirKildar »

Does anyone know where I can find a Saiga 12 either in Tidewater, Central, or NOVA parts of Virginia? Looking to purchase one in a few months and prefer to buy one directly from a gunshop, and want to get some price qoutes.

Thanks as always.

Scarcer than hen's teeth 'round these parts. I do know that Classic Arms in N.C. just received a bunch of them, but they won't last long.

Mark my words: The ATF is going to tighten up on the importation of Saiga 12's real soon. Word is that the Mexicans are running low so the ATF will be giving them first priority

The market on them is distorted - a price quote now could be hundreds off, plus or minus, in a month or two.

Figure on at least $500 and probably more, maybe much more. I've read of them selling for 900+ in some areas. If you find one for less, then you've got money for magazines and conversion parts.

I understand that Nova Armament has them on occasion, too - call them to check, if it's going to be a special trip.

I know you said you wanted local but really don't think you can beat this price. $689 with free shipping and handling.... http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/prod ... =411540214

I was in SSG Tactical in Fredericksburg last week and they had one Saiga 12 gauge in regular config and a couple of Short Barrel versions as well.

Discretionary Firearms in Chesapeake has them for $679. They recently moved from their previous location to 110 Greentree Road.

Bud's seems to have a decent price on these. I remember someone VAGunTrader.com posting that they were getting some in, but I can't remember for sure which user it was. I think it's the DK Firearms guy that said he was getting some.

Saiga had to change some stuff up awhile back to be allowed to continue to import into the country and where hard to find for a long while...but now they are becoming very available but at a higher cost...expect to pay around $750 and any gun shop should be able to put in a order and always ask if you can get a better price if you pay cash instead of using a credit card or debit card...they mostly take 10% off then
