Re: Hello from Stafford
Hell, I would like to find a place that doesn't cost an arm and a leg that I can go to frequently and draw from the holster. I want to get into IDPA eventually, but dont want to drive 40 miles (one way) and pay 20.00 an hour or 35.00 a month to go to BRA. By time you add in the price of ammo, it gets really expensive lol. Guess I could hit NRA for 14.00....its a little better I guess (rate wise). But I do like that the last time i went to The Range it only cost me 8.00...but no drawing from holster there....decisions decisions.

I too want to eventually get into IDPA and other competition shooting, but i'm new to shooting and it seems like just practicing is out of my budget! I claim i've been shooting my whole life, but i've taken more shots as a teenager and child than i have my adult life. I havn't shot in years and am trying to get a new hobby since i realized during football off season i have nothing to do.

Re: Hello from Stafford
I hear ya HotBrass...but dang I picked an expensive hobby!! Hoping that I can get some time to head to an IDPA shoot to check it out and see how it goes. Anyone know if you can just show up to watch or do you have to call ahead or whatever? Right now I'm just wanting to watch a couple, but once my P229 gets to DK Firearms (been a week...still waiting for his SIG Rep to ship it) I'm gonna really start looking to start IDPA. I could use my Glock, but want to use the SIG I think. Either way I hear they are really fun and am really looking forward to getting into it.
