traveling tomorrow and thursday in the Petersburg area - any good gun shops? specifically looking for some 17 rnd mags for my S&W M&P 9mm... looking for genuine S&W ones though, no ProMags...

Not familiar with the Petersburg area, But there's Green Top, Bass Pro Shops, and Gander Mountain just North of Richmond off I95...
It might be worth a call to see if they have what your looking for.

Colonial Heights is not far from Petersburg. Stop by Dance's Sporting Goods.

Maybe a little late in chiming in here. DeGoff's is a good shop. Just north of Richmond in Mechanicsville. I've always had good customer service from them.

Not too far is Liberty Firearms in Hopewell. Take 36 east, then S 15th Ave. Just past the place with the rocket on the roof.
