Newbie from Spotsylvania

I did this a little out of order. I signed up a week ago and immediately posted a thread in the rifle section regarding my future purchase of an AR. I just now saw the section for new memebers so I thought I would introduce myself. I have been a pistol owner for many years and was having a discussion with a guy that runs this site about recommendations on a specific AR. He suggested that I join this site and pose the question here. I have to say that I have received several suggestions and a little guidance in a very short period of time. Thank you to all for your inputs and so far everyone has been incredibly helpful.

Thanks, and if any of you have anthing to add to the AR question(s), the thread I posted is under rifles and is titled "Which AR to buy?" - Thanks again :packin:

Pumbaa, I cannot complete my penance until I purchase the AR. I currently do not own a rifle. I shall complete my assigned task when I am better equipped to do so.
