I heard on the radio this morning that an anchor on fox 5 announced monday that president obama had been killed. I guess it's not too hard to get them mixed up. Now that osama is dead I wonder if the press will go back to spelling his name osama instead of usama? The only difference between obama and osama is a little b/s
I heard on the internets that osama actually had one blue eye...yeah, it blue completely outta his head.....
They didnt have to wrap osama in a shroud...with his brains gone his head shrunk and the sheet on it simply feel down around his body...
Osama couldnt have been dead as one SEAL team member swore he heard him yell "Geronimo!" when they threw him overboard...
One SEAL team member actually suffered a concussion during the raid...he fell down laughing so hard and hit his head because Osama's last words were "I KEEL YOU!"

First off he can't be replaced because he was the heart and soul of al-Qaeda. However operationally Ayman al-Zawahiri the operational guy should replace him. He is a dangerous guy but with none of the charisma or access to funds that Bin Laden had. He is also Egyptian which is not a plus among Bin Laden followers. Now we find that even Bin Laden was cash strapped.
In essence this is the beginning of the end for al-Qaeda, they are dead men walking. The Arab world has shown they are not interested in the crap Bin Laden was peddling.
Might they succeed in some operation in their death throes, well yes that's always possible. But Bin Laden's big dream died with him, it ain't going to happen.

Well if it wasn't at President Obama's direction, pray tell at whose direction was it? You can't wish away reality, nor can vulgar slander wish away reality. As for the President benefiting during his reelection campaign, don't be too sure about that.
You do remember that President Bush 41's approval rating was some 93% going into his reelection campaign as a result of his victory during Desert Storm. We all know how that story turned out.
So take heart you may be spared having to be so angry for yet another 4 years.

Looks like 6 will take the credit for the kill, but word is they provided perimeter security and D took the shot.
I have read a couple of forums today that Delta and Seal Team Six both were on the mission, that they train together and share a lot of missions, most of which we don't hear about. Training together and sharing missions seems to be open knowledge. Makes sense that they would use a team combining both.
Earlier news reports said that the copters were "Blackhawks" and one Chinook - sounds like the 160th SOAR might have flown them in, because their mission is to fly Special Operations & they have special versions of the Blackhawk and Chinook.
Just my opinion, but it is hard to imagine such a critical mission not having air cover - stealth birds like the B2, F22, F119? Also seems to me that there would have been back up plans with special operators to go in if it hit the fan.
Big plus for JSOC and the intelligence Services at a time when Obama and Congress are set to cut JSOC's funding and not pay for requested additional Operators for DEVGRU (6) and Delta.
