carrying in downtown Leesburg
carrying in downtown Leesburg
Does anyone know off-hand if almost none, some, most, almost all businesses in historic downtown Leesburg ban guns on their property?

Yep and Leesburg is right in the midst of occupied NOVA...I've never OC'd over that way but my guess is it is not a gun friendly place...let us knowallingeneral wrote:Best way to find out... Open carry and go for a walk

Re: carrying in downtown Leesburg
We lived essentially in downtown Leesburg for a year. That is where we worshipped, shopped, ate out, and attended the Independence Day parade with our kids.
While I generally don't OC, 1. I never saw a no-gun sign on a business and 2. never saw anyone who did OC turn a head. It was no biggie to be in Bloom or Safeway and some dude is pushing his cart with a Fobus on. Now, while I would have liked to talk with such a dude about his taste in holsters, I would applaud his "so what" demeanor.

IMHO Leesburg is probably one of the most OC friendly spots around. Like otehr folks I generally CC, but on the occasion that I did OC or my cover flipped up and exposed the side arm, the response was generally; "ho-hum."
Now, where I live in Ashburn - whole different ball game. o_O
