PX4 Compact vs SR9C

Post by cangri »

Hi All,

I am getting ready to buy my first firearm. I am considering buying either the Ruger SR9C or the Beretta PX4 Compact. My main purpose is to have a home defense that could become my carry firearm too. I would like to know what you think about any of them. Thanks

Honestly you can't go wrong with either one. I find the Ruger SR9 series thinner and a little handier. The PX4 Compact is a little big but is quite comfortable. Have you had the chance to hold or shoot either one?

+1 Hold both and try to shoot both.

I have never shot the Ruger SR9 but I owned the PX4 and absolutly loved it. Like the others said it is a little bigger which made it nicer for me to shoot but a little tougher to carry.
