That is a nice looking rifle you've got. Is it bedded into the stock? If not I'd suggest trying a GI synthetic stock if you intend to be out in the weather with it.[/quote]
This one was made in 91 and being a super match it was glass bedded, surprisingly it has never ben apart and so it will stay that way. The M14, greatest rifle ever made (just my opinion). For a while it was my best friend in the world. Alot of guys had M16's, Thompsons and some picked up AK's. I can honestly tell you when I had my M14 I felt like I could control my sitution and at the time my partner and I controling what went on was what it was all about.
Ever weapon I have is in the safe except for my 1911 (other best friend) and for now the M14. There seems to be a certian peace with it there where I can see it all the time. I guess some can understand that and a lot won't get it.
Next to to my wife and kids, that's my pride and joy.
Thanks for letting me share her with all of you. Hope everyone has a great Christmas and get to spend it with your family. Please remember we have guys and girls who will not be able too!

That is one beauty of a rifle!
You might want to check out the M-14 Firing Line Forums if you haven't already. They have TONS and I mean TONS of info. You might pick up some new tips or even learn something new. They have many stickies concerning all kinds of stuff from tearing it apart to parts to what lubes work better (mostly opinions on that one). I have learned a lot on the M-14 over there.
