Never understood how these guys waded into gunfire on Normandy or Iwo Jima but 20 years later didn't smack their hippie kids in the face to set them right? Dropped the ball I guess?

I was never a Hippie and would not want to be. I was a kid that had his father sign him into the Marine Corp's because I hated school. No I am not a racist but I will still react the same as most of this training film depicts if you attack me or look like you are going to attack me in any way. This is called self preservation and I see nothing wrong with it. Anyone that knows me I think will tell you that I will in fact defend what is mine and I don't see where P.C. has anything to do with it.

Sorry but anytime I see Sensitivity Training mentioned I think of being called a racist as a group. I once had a director of public safety that made all of us go through a week long class for this because he said that all white cops were Racist. Yes he was Black and hated white people as far as I could tell and did not last long as the Director of Public Safety.

I just flat don't know if I ever was taught sensitivity training for combat ............ however, I did have to deal with it for two tours. Lets see, how long did NAM last, and Afganistan and so on and so on, TOO LONG. That might of had something to do with sensitivity training ...... or progessive agendas .......... or something other than WINNING

"Ah the good old days, before political correctness!"

Yep, no political correctness in WWII. From what my Dad and his peers told me, the video is mild to what actually happened in training. Guys actually got killed - two that my Dad saw in his Infantry Training (after basic). One shot by accident and one bitten by a coral snake. Guys got broken bones and concussions in hand to hand training.

Though often too short or incomplete, the training was tough and the GIs were tough enough for the job as a result.

That comes this month to make sure we all know how to deal with products of the DADT repeal... My guess is we will rarely see anyone wearing a uniform flaunting it.
