problems signing in
problems signing in
It always takes me several trys to sign in and then when I finally do I must sign in again everytime I try to send a message or read pm's...I enjoy this site and have learned a lot from the many different discussions here but it is getting to be a lot of work to navigate the site....is it just me or are others having the same problems
Re: problems signing in
Happens to me and Trigger. Sign in. Read a couple posts and want to reply, but see you are logged off and must sign back in.
Worse on my blackberry. I'm stuck in some limbo where I cannot login at all and must rely on a link from a post update to access. Also I see my profile is not updated. I've managed to figure out how to navigate to a place to post. Sure is a great way to kill time on the bus. But I'd rather use the time catching up rather than navigating.

I get logged out involuntarily pretty often. lots of sql errors too, blue on the screen where it doesn't belong, and jumbled words on top of one another.
Aggravating as all get out.

Describes my plight to a T. I keep doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results (lol).Palladin wrote:I get logged out involuntarily pretty often. lots of sql errors too, blue on the screen where it doesn't belong, and jumbled words on top of one another.

Re: problems signing in
I only signed up a few weeks ago... use Firefox browser, the current version, had no problems at all. Signs in fine... must be on your end?? I am always updating Java and all the other stuff and I tweek my pooter constantly... firewalls and virus stuff is from F-Secure, a freebee from Embarq or Century Link as my ISP, I also keep things cleaned up with "Ccleaner and also Malwarbits"... (very good freebee software). I have very few issued with my computer and it is over 5 years old but I am running 2Gs ram and a fairly fast duo processor and Windows 7... other than that... not sure why you all are having the problems.

Hmmm....not sure whats going on either, took me 3 tries to get logged on just to post this...I keep everything as clean as possible, most nights I run a virus scan when I log off,do a disk scan/clean weekly and don't visit any weird sites but I do spend on other gun sites and this is the only one I have problems with...well I guess it's a small price to

Hi Larry. It sounds like you might have your browser set to "not accept cookies". The forum sets a cookie to keep track of your login information. What browser are you using? Try clearing any cookies from vagunforum.net then reload the window and sign back in.larry3100 wrote:It always takes me several trys to sign in and then when I finally do I must sign in again everytime I try to send a message or read pm's...I enjoy this site and have learned a lot from the many different discussions here but it is getting to be a lot of work to navigate the site....is it just me or are others having the same problems

Yeah, me too, but I can read two posts and have to log in again. Trigger too. We are both using IE8.0. The blackberry always keeps me logged in, but I'm in some limbo that doesn't show any updates. Says my firearms is a slingshot. So, I choose logging in continuously as the least of my two evils.Yarddawg wrote:No problems on my end...like Garrett, I stay logged in continuously.

As much as I hate to say it, IE is no longer the poster child for bad browsers. At times I've had more trouble with FF than IE, vice versa, and at times they have both been better than other browsers.zephyp wrote:Ah, Internet Exploder...thats the problem. I would check for windows updates and see if you're out of date. Check the cookie setting, you need them for this site...make sure they aren't getting cleared. Do other sites have an issue or just this one?

I believe the "Logout" problem should now be corrected. Please let me know if you continue to have problems with this issue.
