Old man, new member
Well, howdy, My name is Bill, I've been involved with guns since the late 50's... I'm a little long in the tooth but still spry enough to carry and shoot and enjoy talking about guns and shooting sports in general. I am a retired trucker with almost 30 years behind the wheel. Drove for Overnite Transportation and UPS Freight for most of that time and retired in 2007. I am also a former Marine in which I served in the early 60's. I have traveled quite a bit in the US, been to about every state and a few cross the border trips. I own and operate a licensed Virginia Bail Bonds company; FREE STATE BAIL BONDS located in Kenbridge, Va. Been in business with that since 1999. I have a CCW permit for Lunenburg county and another with DCJS which is a working CCW permit. I travel throughout Virginia in this business but mostly stick pretty close to south-side Virginia. I own two Harleys and ride often (when it is warm). I enjoy computers and work often in my office doing research and reading. I own a fair arsenal of weapons and so a fair amount of shooting with my handguns. I have several favorites but the ones I named in my profile are the main ones I use... I carry a Taurus PT-145 compact in .45, also occasionally an SP101 Ruger .357 and also a XD-subcompact .40. I look forward to reading and commenting on most anything related to guns and shooting. I always have an opinion and I try to be factual when posting. I have a tendency to inject humor (which is debatable) in much of what I write. I am a member on several other related sites which I will not go into at this time. Again, I look forward to reading and posting. Thanks for having me.

You just have to ask yourself, is he telling you the truth based on knowledge and experience or spreading internet myths?

Thanks for all the welcomes, I will try and be factual and not chew on anyone to much... and I will try very hard not to tell too many off color jokes or crazy stories... it will be difficult, but I will "endeavor to persevere"...
August 1961, plt. 258; 2nd. Bat... C Co.... then to Geiger and Lejeune... 10th. Artillery... nothing heroic, just did my time and out. It is one thing in my life that I am proud to say, I managed to do without F---- it up. and trust me... I have f---- up a lot... although I never went to jail (probably because I never got caught). I managed to correct the defects around age 50... now I am almost perfect.... Semper Fi to you also.

I think I weighed every bit of 175lbs.... I have about 125 on that now!!!!
Sorry, got carried away... I won't mention all this again... take care.
