I wonder if anyone will have a Kel-Tek PMR-30 (Hint-hint)

I've been having a jones for one of those for a while now. and my gun fund should just about be mature enough to get one.
The day they outlaw firearms is the day I become a criminal.

I've got three friends who, along with me, want to buy Glock 19s. I've never been to the Chantilly show. Can anyone say with any confidence what the liklihood of us being able to find a vendor with three of 'em for sale and negotiate a lower price if we all buy from him is?

Also, how to ammo prices at this show compare to the usual Walmart prices? I'm trying to prioritize here. :)

I'd say the likelyhood is quite high. Head for Trader Jerry's first. Last show they had doubles & triples of almost everything (three Desert Eagles in a row is rather impressive) and a price matching policy.

If you shop around you can get good deals on ammo. I've seen 9mm & .223 for as low as 19 cents per shot for target grade rounds.

I'd Second what KaosDad said. Trader Jerry's always has a super large set up at the gun shows and usually has a good supply of popular fire arms. Your chances of finding three Glock 19s is best there. They tend to have some of the best prices of the show on most of the popular things too.

I'd hit their table first and then price shop a bit. Just an opinion mind you.

Trader Jerrys is good. Iv bought a few from there. You can't miss their setup, usually right of center of the building. They price match any vendor in the show. Search around though because they don't always have the lowest price so it pays to hunt around.

Be warned. Trader jerrys usually has lines and an overflow of background checks to run. So plan to goto hooters after you fill out your paperwork.

Ammo deals can be found sometimes

Sort of related but not... Does the expo center charge the vendors different fees for different shows? I went back in October and the gun I was looking for was 500 at TJs. I went back for the nov or dec show and the same gun from TJs was 600. I've seen the same fluctuations between shows from the same vendors for components also. Is it just a demand thing affecting the price, or does the expo center charge different rates for different shows whcih the vendors transfer to the consumers?

Yeah word around town is the prices have slowly been going up, also the mid summer shows are more popular so theres more competition for table space.
Which is annoying cuz I think their entry fees go up slightly each time too.

And they get more restrictive. They used to say no concealed carry then once I think they said no open carry then they said no loaded weapons now they say no privately owned guns at all. If you buy something apparently you need to run it out to your car immediately.

Wait, what? I don't remember seeing any signs saying you couldn't have your own firearms there. There was no shortage of people walking around with guns to sell either.

He probably misread the signs that said no private sales in the parking lot. The property is rented for the show and they want you to pay the entry fee, otherwise they consider you to be trespassing.

Well, the obvious answer to that is to walk over to any of the other parking lots and do the sale there. However, that presumes that the parking lot is also rented to the gun show for its exclusive use (I haven't seen the contract, so I don't know). As for the "no guns in the show, even unloaded" idea, nearly every VCDL member behind that booth walked in there with an unloaded firearm (+ ammo separately), and I believe very few of us would attend a gun show that didn't allow at least that.

BTW, the folks at Trader Jerry's are goof people. If they've got time (which they didn't have much of at this last show), they'll go through all the options. Even if they're a bit pressed for time, they'll do their best.
