I haven't had a chance to shoot either one of those particular models, but the I was impressed by the Valor last time I saw one.

Sadly, I've not had the opportunity to shoot either. However if their CBOB is any indication, the Valor should be excellent.gunderwood wrote:I haven't had a chance to shoot either one of those particular models, but the I was impressed by the Valor last time I saw one.

Acronyms sometimes befuzzle me. A fortune 500 company I work with all the time throws them around like popcorn at the movies. For me, it would be much easier to just use plain English. I’ve got so I get a little rattled when I see one anywhere. When I saw CBOB, except for knowing I’d seen it before, I drew a complete blank, due I reckon to a severe brainfart. I knew I should know what that was, but all I could hear was FZZZZZZZ. I sure didn’t want to reveal my ignorance as a somewhat casual gun aficionado to all you dyed-in-the-wool, hard-boiled ones with decades of military and law enforcement experience on this form. So I looked on the FORUM ABBREVIATIONS and did not find it. At that point I had to determine which of the acronyms resident in my encyclopedic collection of same was intended here.t33j wrote:Sadly, I've not had the opportunity to shoot either. After careful consideration I have decided to assume that by CBOB you mean Classic Bobtail, and not Champion Beer of Britain (CAMRA Award for the Best Beer Ale in Britain,) Conventional Blendstock for Oxygenate Blending (gasoline production), Central Bank of the Bahamas, Children Beyond Our Borders, or Blendstock Compact Binary-Tree on Binary Tree.
Not buying that? OK, so I looked in the Acronym Finder. DUHHH…..
Besides guns, I have an odd fascination with words and obscure facts. I can’t help it.

CBOB - Classic Bobtail (Dan Wesson Commander Classic 1911, which was discontinued in 2010)dorminWS wrote:Acronyms sometimes befuzzle me. On the grips, I have more of the Box Elder Burl in the shop, so that's doable. Bobtail grips with that coverage are $90 shipped in your choice of gloss or satin.
