How to ignore users

Post by allingeneral »

Just a quick info post on how to ignore posts by a specific user or users.

Click the member's name to view their profile. In their profile click "Add Foe (ignore user)". By adding a member to your "Foes" list, their posts will be hidden from you view and you can carry on with your life :)

Explain how the 'friend' function works as opposed to the 'foe'?

The friends list gives you quick access to member information in your control panel for sending private messages or just to have a quick link to their information. Friend me, then go to the "Friends and FOes" tab in your UCP. Or just go to the Private Messages tab and you'll see my name in the left menu of the UCP.

Well, the annoying part about that is then you might miss an important post. I don't have anyone that gets on my nerves anyway on this forum. You guys are a good group of folks!

I don't spend much time here, I may have over looked something, this site is one of the most calm sites I've run across.
Not much hostility here that I've noticed.

Yes, I've seen some strong opinions here but they have always been graciously expressed. And what's that saying? An armed society is a polite society!

Why would I want to ignore anyone? The people I find most perplexing on this forum are also the most entertaining. I keep logging in to see what outrageous thing they'll say next.

I can't read any of allingeneral's posts. Can someone tell me what he said?

No need for me to learn how to ignore a user. I already know how not to read a post. Gandpappy used to say "When you hear nothing, say nothing." That works for people that talk a lot and don't say much, too. I don't believe in overcomplicating things.

Nah, I've been too busy carrying on with my life - something ONE member with a silly forum name needs to get.
