Most guns in Mexico come from the U.S or something

Post by OakRidgeStars »

Leave it to the Washington Post to keep beating the same old dead horse. Let me see if I understand this: There are more stolen guns from the U.S. in Mexico because you can't buy guns in Mexico, right?.

I never understood how the Mexican cartels were getting full auto M16s/Ak47s, grenades, RPGs, etc. from US gun shows and civilians. I lived in TX for a few years and don't seem to recall any of those toys laying around.

I was there for a while too and never saw one of them ...Garbage like that from the Wa Po falls under the let's "print it and idiots will beleive it because the press wouldn't lie" That's the only group that is going to put any stock in the stuff they claim to have first hand knowledge of. It certainly does get old having the same BS harped on again and again every couple months

They want the illegal immigrants to be able to cross the border to send money home so they want our borders left as porous as possible, but then do nothing about all the corruption in their own country.

Mexico is a corrupt POS. They need to try to fix their own country rather than try to convert our country in to theirs. If they like their country so much why do all the illegal immigrants leave and come here?

So, let me get this straight. I'm DK the drug lord and listed on Forbes as one of the richest guys in the world. I need guns so what do I do. I'll present 2 scenarios that even a moron could figure out...remember -- I'm one of the richest guys on the planet...

A - "Hey Pablo. You an Paco sneek across de border tonight and buy guns from de Norte Americanos. There is a pawn shop in El Paso and I theenk he sell you guns cheap. Also, there is a sale at de Wal-mart on ammo. Bring back as much as you can carry."

B - (ring...ring...from my high tech cell phone) "Hey Achmed, dees is Tito. What? Yes de women were good. Huh? No I don need no more stinkin women...I need guns. What? Yes of course military grade. Fully auto. Eh? How bout 5 dozen of those black ones. Yes of course fully auto. And ammo too. As much as you can send of course. Oh yes and grenades. I like the boom they make. What? Rocket Launchers! Yes of course send them too. Hey Achmed, can you get me a couple of them Bradleys?"
No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...

Fixed it for you.

When we raid those guys it isn't a couple dozen, we get rifles by the truck load.

Now, now, DK, there you go MAKING SENSE! Bad gov't employee! Bad gov't employee! :first:

The WaPo keeps that drumbeat because Hillary Rotten Clinton and Janet NutPolitano remember the backlash generated from when they claimed that 90% ridiculous figure. They know they can't get away with saying it. So they have their surrogates in pinko-Commie papers like the WaPo repeat it instead.

Oh...did I actually make my opinion known? Gee, sorry about that....

The major points are not mentioned. First, these aren't necessarily guns used in crimes, they're just confiscated during busts.
Second, they only trace 20% because the rest were stolen or purchased from the Mexican police and military.
Never initiate force against another. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.KYFHO

Just to stir the mud, here is the Fox News look at the same stats: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/04 ... xico-come/
Isn't it funny how the same statistics look completely different when Fox looked at them.
You just have to ask yourself, is he telling you the truth based on knowledge and experience or spreading internet myths?

Yup, if you want to know who is responsible for supplying guns and trained soldiers who commit the violence in Mexico, take a hard look at the Mexican government.
