Sure,

The FDE AR is a Smith and Wesson MP15 that I first had magpul MOE furniture, then I added the EOTech 512. I had problems with it in less than a week, took it off, and sold it.
Installed the Troy Industries Quad Rail, Magpul AFG, Magpul BAD Lever, BCM Mod 4 charging handle, trijicon Accupoint 1-4, and Vickers Sling.

The Little glock is my 2nd gen 19, and even though its not the prettiest, it is my most prized gun. My dad picked it up when I was a kid, and gave it to me on the day I turned 21.
It is stock other than grip plug, trijicon night sights, and extended mag release. Its on my side every day, and it shows.

The big glock is/was my Glock 20, only mods are mag release, grip plug, and TruGlow TFO sights.

The 1911 is my Sig Sauer Revolution GSR

The black AR is a DPMS LR308T w/magpul PRS stock, installed DPMS Quad Rail, and DPMS A3 upper w/forward assist, Nikon 4-16 MOA SF

I like the MAGPUL accessories. Well made and well thought out. Sorry to hear about your EOTech. My impression is that they are good for kicking down doors, but lack the durability for SHTF. I am loving my Aimpoint T1. Put it on my 45/70 deer rifle and made a 100 yard running deer shot with it (first shot hit a branch and spooked it....lots of brush).

If you are looking for a trigger upgrade for you ARs, check out the Wilson Combat single stage TTU. I have it in one of mine and love it. There are plenty of competitors who build good match triggers, but the WC TTU is good for SHTF too.

Hell yes.

Do you like the GSR (and have much 1911 experience)?

Haha - I didn't even see the Glocks until I read this and had to go back and look for them in the pictures. My eyes zoned out when they hit the .308 :)

I had always stayed away from 1911s because I had always been a glock guy, and in my head the 1911s were art, but not reliable, and needed $ to keep them shooting. On the other side the 1911s just felt like they were absolutely made for my hands, and I liked sig so I just had to get it. It was the most accurate pistol i've ever shot, made my glocks look silly. I ended up having feeding issues out of 4 different mags, and gave up on it and sold it shortly after the purchase. I will probably get another 1911 one day, but just need to get the taste out of my mouth first.

There were a bunch of bad mags shipped with GSRs.

IMHO, one of the things that makes 1911s picky is because they are a form of controlled feed. If done properly, controlled feed is more reliable and Browning certainly did a wonderful job. However, his only ammo of the day as 230gr ball. I may be a heretic for saying this, but I wonder if Browning would have designed the controlled feed the way he did if he had to feed today's hollow points and varying bullet weights.

Case in point, the Wilson Combat 1911 mags often fix feeding problems with all kinds of 1911s, but they significantly alter or eliminate the controlled feed aspects to accomplish that. Also, the more modern designs are not controlled feed and don't seem to be as flaky as some 1911s. Furthermore, the 1911 is a old world design (I.e. back when guns were mostly hand finished) and I think it likes a bit of special attention to fit and time the parts just right. Modern designs were done with mass production in mind.

That said, I love my WC CQB. It is the best pistol I've ever owned and I've fired nearly a 1,000 rounds without cleaning it to see if it would jam. Never got it too, but I did notice the return to battery was slower because the grease on the frame rails had so much carbon in it that the coefficient of friction was very high. Still shot though.

I think you are dead on with your diagnosis. I tried a friend of mine's WC mags a couple times during our shooting session, and didn't have the same failure to loads as I was having with the 2 novaks, and other 2 brands. If I go back the 1911 route, as much as i'd like to have a WC, i'll probably go with a Sprinfield, or the Colt. I'm not against the 1911s in the least, the fit me the best, are super accurate, and leave a big ol hole. I've just got to convince myself I want another.

My glock 19, and the MP15 get to strech their legs tomorrow, I'll be using them in my first ever tactical shooting match. I'm really looking forward to shooting and having a good time.

If you are up by SEG sometime I can let you fire my CQB which will help convince you.

Or by Hampton Roads and you can play with my CBOB or target Kimber. :pistol: I've had 0 issues with the former since I took it out of the box about 800 rounds ago, and 0 with the ladder after I took it to a gunsmith to clean it up (bought used).

I learned my lesson with the first kimber I shot, thats why I had to have one. I don't like shooting other people's guns. As long as all I shoot are mine, I'm happy with what I've got.
