IDPA match last night at SEG

Post by gregj »

Had a great time last night. Jay (MD/RSO) always does a great job putting these on.

I know Charles was there, not sure if there were any other VGOF members.

Looking forward to the next one.

I was signed up but couldn't make it due to a death in my family. I hope everyone had a great time.

I had fun despite not shooting at my best last night. To you pistol shooters who may be considering giving IDPA a try; I encourage you to give it a go. Here in NOVA, both SEG and BRA indoor ranges have monthly IDPA matches during the winter months. Odds are really good that you will like it and have lots of fun too. If you have any questions or concerns about getting started, shoot me, LFS or gregj a PM and we'll help.

I agree, Jay always does a great job. I was signed up but I also could not make it because of work. I'll be there next month though.

Sorry Andy, we were wondering where you were. Figured you were still in China. All the best to you and your family.

Ok, I've been out of this for to long. Work is starting to settle down now and I'm back on my normal shift of day work.

Need to get a bit of range time with the new Sig 9mm and get back into this.

Some one let me know when the next matches are at BRA and SEG please.

SEG's IDPA matches are usually the second Monday of each month.

Go to SEG's Web site and complete the e-mail notification sign-up.

http://www.silvereaglegroup.com/ (at lower right)

SEG does its IDPA match registration on line. By signing up for e-mail notification, you will get an e-mail letting you know that match registration is up. It's not yet up for December.

As for BRA, they keep their match sign-up in hardcopy at the range. I think Dec is already full. I'll check on Jan and let you know. BRA has its IDPA matches the second Wednesday of each month.

Thanks DK. This past week has been hard on me. But I'll be back to my snark posting, gunderwood-baiting self in short order.

Or if you might have been sending that towards me.

Thanks DK. Been a real bad time at work and I've been not myself. Things are starting to smooth out and hopefully might stay that way.
