Walthers - collectible airguns

Let's start off a little wild here with some olde Walther airguns.

The top three are olympic-grade quality as these models were used in the olympics (not the actual airrifles, but, the same models). Each has been stripped and relubed. Stock work repaired to their former glory.

From the top down are:
1) Walther model LGV (circa 1968) - With the beautiful Olympia stock, it was a top 10M Olympic airrifle in it's day.

2) Walther LG55 Tyrolean (circa 1967). The UIT (prior to the Olympic) committe banned this cupped stock as it allowed shooters to place their cheek in the same place (an unfair advantage. This model first appeared in 1955 at the Berlin games - an Olympic-style event and magnitude in Germany.

3) Walther LG53 with a set (or DST) trigger. In German this trigger setup is called a 'stecher'. This model first appeared in 1953. The feature of the set trigger is once set (rear blade) the front blade is released with an ounce of weight. The stock has been restored and the checkering re-cut. Look at the sunburst! Did I say this was rare?

4) Walther LG53 Sporter. This one is not a match airrifle. Too bad, it's a nice one to carry for plinking.

Seriously, nice looking rifles...if I had a decent basement I'd set up an airgun range just to have fun...

Kick much? They're low velocity for olympic shooting. I have some others (Diana's) that have no motion at all.

And yes, I shoot in my house just about every day. Where else can you get so much trigger time for under a penny a shot?

Watch, in a couple of days I'll put up one of my PB (or 2) and (yawn) I bet everyone will get excited. But some I haven't shot in 20 years.
