"The ministry emphasized that only a part of the submarine was stuck."

Now, that's a neat trick.

I wonder how many points you get on license for grounding a nuclear submarine?. Time to sign up for the defensive driving class

I thought it was pretty neat how they managed to ground their fastest and most technologically advanced sub... you'd think they'd have had sensors n' sh*t that could have helped 'em prevent that. This would only have been funnier if it had hit an iceberg.

I love that description.."only PART of the submarine is stuck" So the rest is just hanging around waiting for it?

The craft is a "highly complex feat of naval engineering" that is "at the very cutting-edge of technology, with a suite of sensors and weapons required to pack a powerful punch," the ministry said.

Oh, wait, I get it. They pack that 'powerful punch' by ramming it into things. Like islands n' stuff, apparently. Torpedos and cruise missiles? Sooooo last year.

HMS Astute... apparently the captain wasn't! Still a better outcome than the captain who ran the San Francisco into an underwater mountain at 35 knots a few years back. :shipwrecked:
