Coming to DC Oct.2: It's Moonbat-Palooza
I can't wait to see what sort of freak show this turns out to be. Let's start taking guesses now on how the lamestream media will exaggerate the size of the crowd.

Left-wing groups plan giant rally on Mall; will 're-commit to change'
By: Byron York
09/25/10
Stung by political setbacks and scrambling to avoid a repudiation of Democrats at the polls this November, a coalition of labor unions and liberal activist organizations is planning what it calls "the biggest progressive demonstration in decades" at the Lincoln Memorial next Saturday, October 2.
The march, called "One Nation Working Together," is sponsored by the AFL-CIO, the NAACP, the Service Employees International Union, La Raza, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, the American Federation of Teachers, the Rainbow Push Coalition, the Campaign for America's Future, and several other activist groups. The event is also being promoted by Organizing for America, the permanent wing of the Obama presidential campaign, which is sending out email notices to members asking that they travel to Washington to take part.
"Hundreds of thousands of people from across America will gather at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. to demonstrate our re-commitment to change," organizers say. "The One Nation march will feature human and civil rights leaders, labor leaders, environmental and peace activists, faith leaders, celebrities and sports figures…"
In addition to the main organizers, participants will also include left-wing fringe groups like International ANSWER, Code Pink, and the Communist Party USA. The leaders of those groups are known for loud, confrontational demonstrations, which virtually assures that anyone looking for extremist elements in the One Nation gathering will be able to find them.
The goal of "recommitment to change" suggests that liberal leaders are fully aware they have lost momentum in the 20 months of the Obama administration. AFL-CIO chief Richard Trumka says One Nation will "demand a renewed focus and investment in people." Benjamin Jealous, head of the NAACP, says the march will show that "this nation will rise again toward the mountaintop." Renewed focus and rise again are not phrases that such organizations use when they are winning.
Attendance at the march will likely be viewed as a test of liberal organizing strength at a time when polls show Democratic base voters are far less enthusiastic about the upcoming election than their Republican counterparts. In particular, it seems likely the press will compare turnout to that of the "Restoring Honor" rally staged by Fox News personality Glenn Beck at the Lincoln Memorial August 28. (The One Nation march was already in the planning stages when the Beck march was held.) The comparisons will, however, have to take into account two significant differences. First, the Beck rally was essentially the work of one person, albeit one with a big megaphone in talk radio and cable news; the One Nation rally will be the product of the combined organizing power of the country's largest unions. And second, while the Beck rally was self-consciously non-political, the One Nation gathering will be frankly partisan. "It's time to stand up and march for the change we voted for," say organizers.

From the Associated Press... http://tinyurl.com/2djqv6w

I can hear the MSM gassing up the Waaaaaambulance nowOrganizers claimed they had as many participants as Beck's rally. But Saturday's crowds were less dense and didn't reach as far to the edges as they did during Beck's rally. The National Park Service stopped providing official crowd estimates in the 1990s.

I like the other activists groups designation= communists organizations and a lot of em ,,, Great mix,,Reverend DB AL Sharpton , Radical unions , blacks and freaking Commies and whatever other type loser supports that stuff,, At least Beck didn't have to force anyone to go or pay them to attend at his rally...

A pretty pathetic display today.
Dig this and imagine if anyone looking like this shared the dais at a Tea Party event:

And another great photo. This time from the event's official web site:

This photograph is not from today and dates from the 1940s through the 70s. The buildings in the left are the temporary offices built during WWII and demolished in the 70s.

That's because the photos from today aren't impressive. There aren't any aerial shots because you could compare it and notice that the turnout is much smaller. CNN reported it as a "large" turnout.ainokea wrote:And another great photo. This time from the event's official web site:

This is the best crowd shot I can find and it looks pretty full, but there don't appear to be many people towards the end (thus, why the photo was taken at such a shallow angle rather than more overhead). Also note that they aren't showing the lawns just to the other side of those trees which were full at even the second rally. I'm guessing they are empty.

Yup, empty. Those two photos alone suggest that Beck had at least twice the people as this rally.
I've heard antecedent evidence that hotel bookings were up over the last Tea Party rally and such. That makes sense if the unions were busing people in, unlike the Tea Party rally.

Funny thing about all this...we were alerted last week that certain portions of Pentagon parking would be closed on Saturday to accommodate bus traffic. I put the message in a folder I created before Glen's rally...the message from last week is the only one there...
No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...

Are you suggesting that the Pentagon was instructed to provide parking space for union buses?zephyp wrote:Funny thing about all this...we were alerted last week that certain portions of Pentagon parking would be closed on Saturday to accommodate bus traffic. Absolutely not!!!! I'm merely stating the fact that the Pentagon closed part of the lot on Saturday to accommodate "bus traffic"...there is obviously no connection, remotely or otherwise, between these two events...the Pentagon isnt even in the same state where this rally was held...calling DC a state only to make the comparison mind you...gunderwood wrote:Are you suggesting that the Pentagon was instructed to provide parking space for union buses?zephyp wrote:Funny thing about all this...we were alerted last week that certain portions of Pentagon parking would be closed on Saturday to accommodate bus traffic. What other bus traffic was there last Saturday? More specifically, what other bus traffic was expected before last Saturday occurred so that the parking lot closure could be coordinated? Closing part of the Pentagon parking lot for bus traffic must have been a decision pretty high up. Doesn't the Pentagon have a nice metro stop that takes your right into DC?zephyp wrote:Absolutely not!!!! Yes, there is a nice Metro stop at the Pentagon and buses/trains go right into the city...and that you ask, parking is controlled by the Pentagon Force Protection Agency which ultimately reports to DoD...visitor parking is coordinated through the sponsoring organization...in the case of these buses who knows who sponsored them and what their purpose was...and what other bus traffic might there have been on Saturday...who knows...but like I said, the Pentagon is a state away from the mentioned event...how could the 2 possibly be connected...gunderwood wrote: What other bus traffic was there last Saturday? Here's a comparison between Beck's 8/28 rally and yesterday's "Bring-a-Socialist-to-D.C." day
http://directorblue.blogspot.com/2010/1 ... crowd.html
Also, more pictures you won't see on the lamestream media (notice all the trash that the environmentally-conscience lefties left behind)

Well as a soldier I follow my last order and that was we are fighting against socialism and communism world wide...
I honestly cannot believe the direction our country is taking...part of one of the speeches included a line -- not sure who said it but it was in a news article this morning -- "they [republicans] are trying to change America..."
No, sorry...YOU are trying to change America...the only change I want is people like you gone...
