Army XM-25 CDTES

Post by OakRidgeStars »

Check out the Army's latest smart shoulder-fired weapon. This thing looks like it could be used on the set of Star Wars :lovegunporn:

I'll bet it looks a lot nicer without the digital camo. :)

This looks to be the same GL technology that was used in the development for the XM8 weapon system they have grenades that will go through glass (windows) wait for 25 micro seconds and explode in the center of the room. grenades that can be programed to airburst at a certain distance like 30m so you can get tangos behind obstacles(sp). H&K has been working on this for a long time. I am not sure if this is an H&K model or not I did not read the article should have I know. When I lived in Herndon I talked with one of the US developers for H&K and it was an eye opener.

Great system and 25mm so you can carry more of them unlike the 203 which is much bulkier.

The MK25 looks like the .50cal they had on Future Weapons TV show, but that one had the recoil in the bbl just like this one and it was interchageable with the MK19 GL bbl two in one and the swap took just under 2 min I think. I wonder if they dropped the GL portion that would be sad. Did anyone see that one?
