Every Day Carry, what do you pack daily?
Re: Every Day Carry, what do you pack daily?
Ummm...
keys, wallet, knife, lighter, small scissors(work related).
If I'm working, the sidearm and pump 12 are in the truck. If not, the sidearm is on me and the pump 12 is still in the truck.
That's about it.

Lord, please protect us today from having to use deadly force.

Quit in November 1996, could still pick one up and enjoy it thoroughly. However, have also seen two people, a family member and a close friend, both smokers, die of emphysema within the past 6 months. Stick with the nicorette.

Since I work at a .mil, I have to be naked until I get home. All of my pocket knives are too long
At home, it's either an SP-101 or a Taurus PT-840. Can't wait for colder weather, then I can carry my 10mm 1911.

That is correct. Box cutters are okay. All of my knives have 4" or longer blades. I could get a smaller one, but I'm not buying another just to satisfy their requirements.
I do keep a flashlight with me, since the power goes out once a month.

I carry this laminated picture:

Should the need arise, I brandish it and inform the malefactor not to "act stupidly".
You'd be surprised at the "knock-down power" one of these things packs...
If there's any further resistance, I put the ear-buds from my I-Pod in the chap's ears and play him my collection of the Alleged Hawaiian's speeches.
(I know that some may consider this needlessly cruel, but we're talking life and death here!)
Usually within 30 seconds, the goblin races off to hang himself with his own shoelaces...

The Ruger LCP in my profile.
And either a Leatherman Micra or Gerber folding knife. I've seen too many knife training videos to think that I could actually succeed in a knife fight. I would never even try. Its the gun or run.
Used to carry a flashlight and even the tiny ones got annoying after a bit. Now I just use the house key with built in light. You can get them at Walmart (with cutting) for about 2 dollars.
