The greatest range ever?

Post by gunderwood »

I didn't go, so this isn't my report, but I don't care either. Sheer awesomeness!

http://smith-wessonforum.com/lounge/145 ... odems.html

Just a couple of facts:

1. Expected attendance: 40,000 shooters
2. It takes 15 minutes to drive around the facility to all the ranges...the one range shown has 120 shooting positions!
3. Closed circuit TV for monitoring your score, all electronically done too.
4. The prizes include multi-thousand dollar Anschuetz rifles and a variety of handguns

Or how about this one?

Oh, I just seen the video about the German place. It wasn't there last night when this was first posted.

I use to live in Germany. I was there for 12 years. As a Civilian. I have 2 teenage kids still there that live with the ex... I speak the language, and that video said they have 25 meter, 50 meter, 100 & 300 meter ranges, with some being underground.

That place will be for the rich and famous.... the people that can afford to have guns, lol. It is so freakin hard to get guns over there. You have to take a butt load of classes that costs un-godly amounts of money just to get your waffenschein (weapons permit) and then you need to be able to afford the guns over there.

I worked as a contractor over there and we were armed guards on the Army base in Bamberg Germany. I had to go through a couple of classes and take a test in German just to be able to carry a gun for work. The test was mainly for the German Laws pertaining to the carry of a gun and the laws of self defense. I didn't have to pay for them thank god, but it was one hell of an experience. And that was just to be able to carry a gun while on duty.

To own guns is a nightmare. I'm glad I came home, lol!!

I wouldn't move there either. The range is cool, but I imagine the dues are very high.

Definitely, I guess when shooters are so few and far between you can have really nice ranges.

More like you have to be someone and have money to own them. The workers are not allowed to own firearms.
