phelps range, sumerduck road

If you got a good deal or great service from a shop or range and you want to brag about them, here's the place to do it. Likewise, if you are unhappy about someone's service or feel like you've been ripped off, we want to know that too!

I've shot at the Phelps Range. Nice facility. 100 yard rifle range, with 75/50/25 yard stations. It is a sight in facility only. It's also closed for about six months of the year, during the summer months. I think it's open from about Sept to March. No handguns except for scoped single-shot ones.

You can find directions, rules and such on the Virginia Dept of Game and Inland Fisheries web-site.

Shot there to sight in some rifles. Actually drove down there one day to shoot but didn't realize that it was closed during half the year. Great range!
