Re: Sgt Bills
woo! What a day. Man, it was hot out there. After about 4 o'clock or so, the sun was behind the trees, so the pistol range was a bit more bearable.
We blasted the heck out of some steel targets and a lot of paper too. I have to say that I don't think those chunks of steel are going to be giving us any more guff any time soon!
Thanks to everyone who showed up and a big thanks to Bill (SgtBill), Henry (VaHunter) and their crews for hosting a great event. Thanks to Bill Jr for helping out with people's gun questions.
Here are some pictures.

Re: Sgt Bills
Well... sorry, I took no pictures, and no prisoners. All targets were eliminated successfully, at varying decibels.
There were pictures taken though. Great memories to last a lifetime, new friends made, and older acquaintances refreshed. Sitting here typing this with one hand and picking seed ticks off me with the other... more later, I'm off to the shower.
Thanks, Bill and Sharon, and everybody else that had a hand in putting this weekend together.
Yeah, that means you too, Billy!

Re: Sgt Bills
You know it's hot when you have to shoot your gun to cool it off...
Actually I did have my phone's camera set on auto, so I was able to snag a few pics. Now don't make fun of them 'cause they really are low resolution...
This is me in the tent in last nite's thunderstorm
This one's of Bill Jr., showing me some point and shoot technique -
This is Shelley trying out the XD45 TAC -
And then Shelley talking to Rick about XD's in the Future...
Here's me trying out the Barrett -
And last but not least, one of me while reloading...
Thanks again, all -

Re: Sgt Bills
Once again, thanks for the invitation, the hospitality and the food.
No place else in the world where folks can get together, talk about whatever they want to talk about and make as much noise (gunfire, etc) as we did.
And yes, it was hot. I was sitting in a chair most of the day and everytime the breeze would blow a little and cool me down I'd start to fall asleep.

Bill,
Thanks for giving us the opportunity to get everyone together. Nice to have the chance to put names and faces together.
Henry and company did a great job on the grill also. Loved the chicken!
Looking forward to all the photos now.

Re: Sgt Bills
Rick you have to post a pic of the little man with the .410. That made my day watching him nail that steel 3 times in a row. I would'a let him shoot the whole box of shells if he wanted to but I think it was pounding his shoulder just a tad much.

I don't think we got any cell phone pics of that - t33j got some, I think. He'll be posting up in the next few days after he gets them edited.Vahunter wrote:Rick you have to post a pic of the little man with the .410.
