I am taking a course with Suarez International in Winchester, VA on July 10. I previously had reservations at the Marriott which I just canceled due to their anti gun policy. Obviously, I am not going to leave my firearm in the car.

I let them know that the Second Amendment gives me the right to bear arms.

Re: Just cancelled my Marriott reservation
Thank you for posting this, Andy. I was about to make hotel reservations for the 4th of July weekend and the Marriott has now been stricken from my list.

This is good to know, I will not stay at a Marriot now. Thanks for the info.

Re: Just cancelled my Marriott reservation
I sent a nasty email to them earlier this morning voicing my concerns.

Re: Just cancelled my Marriott reservation
Are Marriott rules different in other states?
I early May, I spent 6 days at the Courtyard Marriott in Charlottesville, VA.
I saw NO signs posted at any of the entrances that I used aout guns being prohibited.
I carried my 9mm everyday. I also had my range bag with NRA logo on it.
Some days I carried the bag through the lobby and some days I left it in the room. No attempt to hide it. No one ever said anything to me about guns not being allowed.
Is this just a NC problem ?
