Armed American Radio Debuts Sunday in Washington, D.C.

Program to air live on WWRC-AM 1260.

Washington D.C. - One of the country's most restrictive cities for firearms ownership, is now the latest to begin airing a weekly radio program dedicated specifically to the preservation of gun ownership rights and the rights and responsibilities of carrying a concealed weapon.

Armed American Radio debuts this Sunday, live from 8pm-11pm, on Washington, D.C.'s newest talk radio station, WWRC-AM 1260. The program is hosted by pro-gun activist and author Mark Walters.

Host Mark Walters welcomed the news of joining the WWRC-AM 1260 lineup, saying, "I am incredibly proud to be bringing Armed American Radio to the Nation's capital, so that law abiding gun owners, who have been demonized and oppressed for far too long inside the beltway, now have a voice that has never been given them by the anti-gun, mainstream media."

Armed American Radio began as a one hour show on WGKA-AM 920 in Atlanta on April 26, 2009. In September, Armed American Radio began airing in syndication as a two hour program and has since expanded to it's current, live, three hour format. The reach of the program has grown to include 37 radio stations across America, including those in five of the 16 largest markets. This rapid growth has made Armed American Radio one of the fastest growing radio programs in the country.

Mark Walters recently hosted his April 18th broadcast from SRN's D.C. area studios, a day prior to the 2nd Amendment March, and says he is committed to visiting with his program's new listeners in Washington D.C. and broadcasting from WWRC-AM 1260 in the near future.
