I saw that on Facebook...some country banned it...muslims...they wanted to first ban the page then decided to ban Facebook...my guess is Facebook will take this page down to appease the muslim world...

Don't worry. With Facebooks non-existent security you will still be able to get to the page and all of their personal info too!

Muslims consider any depiction of the Prophet Muhammad to be blasphemous, and it is a crime punishable by death.

I can't be the only one who is appalled that a major world religion would clearly advocate the death of anyone because they drew a picture. I have no desire to research whether this punishment is stipulated in the Koran or if it's a "holy" edict from one or more clerics.

Give me a break, people, a picture can cause this much controversy? It is my belief that this kind of behavior is indicative of a people who are insecure in their faith. Using violence to make "believers" toe the line is something the Catholic church has had experience with, and they realized the folly of their attempts.

As a private company, should they not be allowed to do what they feel is in their best interests with their property (I'm guessing most people haven't read the EULA)?

I don't like their actions either, so guess what? I refuse to use it and have for quite some time.

The total f'ed up part about all this is that it is not in the Koran that you can't show Muhammed. It says that you can't show Allah, in line with the whole worshiping idols bit. It just became tradition that no one depict muhammed and now, apparently, it's defacto law. So, much like the immigration law in Arizona, it's just something that everyone assumes is a law. But it's not. Basically, if I can be a total infidel here, modern day islam has hoisted muhammed up to the level of Allah. So, in fact, it can be said that to apply the same laws of not depicting Allah to Muhammed, is against the Koran and a sin. So, if any one else can argue Koranic law here, bring it on. It might take me some time to formulate a reply to a GOOD argument, but I can do it. FOR the record: 'Die Infidel' is not a good argument. Take note that I also dip all my bullets in pigs blood.

While I agree that a company can do as they please it is wrong IMO for an American company to block anti Muslim content but allow anti Christian content...wrong wrong wrong.

Having said that, the draw mohammed page was off line briefly due to a technical error. Facebook stated yesterday that it was immediately corrected and the page is available.

WTG FACEBOOK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
