Forum Width - Does it fit your screen?

Post by allingeneral »

Hi Folks,

I have a laptop with a wide screen, so forum width isn't much problem for me. I have noticed that the forum may not be fitting right on some people's computers. Please let me know if you have to scroll right to left in order to view the entire forum.

Thanks!

Ctrl + mouse scroll will change the font size. Solves the form fitting to a particular screen.

I'm using Firefox and have noticed a few times during the past couple of weeks that I get a wide screen that scrolls off to the right...its not been consistent though and I usually get a normal screen...not sure what the prob is and thought it was on my end...
No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...

I've noticed the same thing occasionally, but nothing consistent. I notice that you have a few fixed width TD tags in the source. Nothing looks all that wide though. I always TRY to use all relative widths, but sometimes, the browsers just won't cooperate and you have to use fixed width values. Once you get about 4 tables nested, things get very hairy to keep track of.

works perfectly fine on the 22 inch widescreen on the desktop. Also works well with the netbook and considering how tiny the screen is on a netbook (smaller then a standard piece of paper) I'm very happy.

Well good. I'm glad that my concerns weren't warranted.

Some of you who see a post that spans way beyond the screen every once in awhile - it's probably due to an image or a link that's really long, which causes the forum to widen in order to accommodate it.
