CHP in Portsmouth

Post by JC420IN »

I took my class last night and went to the courthouse this morning to get my fingerprints taken and hand in the application. It only cost $15 and will be worth it when the permit gets here. I let you know how long it takes to get here for those who are thinking about getting there's in Portsmouth or if someone could tell me how long it took them to get theirs in Portsmouth I'd appreciate it.

I got my CHP today in the mail after a little over 2 weeks. The thing is they sent me letters, each had a permit in it and the only difference between them is the issue dates and the expires on date. Has anyone else ever had this happen?

So they sent duplicate permit cards?. I've never heard of that before.

Call the clerk's office and ask them what the expiration date is in their records, then destroy the other card.

Yes I got 2 letters today, each with a permit in it, but like I said the issue date and expiration date is different on them. But I'm going to keep both in my wallet till I talk to someone at the clerk's office next week. Tried to call today but I forgot they'd be closed for the holiday.

Richmond has been running 3-4 weeks on average.
