SPARKS, Okla. — A magnitude 4.4 earthquake has hit Lincoln County, but no injuries and little property damage are reported, the U.S. Geological Survey says.

The agency said the earthquake hit about three miles east of Sparks about 4:22 p.m. Saturday. Sparks is between Chandler and Meeker.

A Lincoln County 911 dispatcher said no injuries and only minor property damage were reported.

People also reported feeling the temblor in Norman, Prague, Seminole, and as far as Tulsa.

While I respect your possible explanation I will also offer an explanation that I prefer to believe. God is in control of those tectonic plates. Time draws near. These are the birthing pains of His judgment upon the world and all the inhabitants thereof.

My apologies to BOTH of you, I should have said "I believe you are mistaken".

Here is why I belive that.....What is the doctrine of the secret rapture? Simply put, it is the teaching that Jesus Christ will return twice! First there will be a secret, unheralded return in which He will whisk all Christians, both living and dead, off to Heaven to be present there during the time that the Great Tribulation is taking place on earth. This secret coming supposedly could occur at any moment and will come without any advance warning to anyone.....

The fact is he is coming again to gather his elect - says so in chapter 24. If you believe any part of God's word why not all of it...He is coming and I believe sometime in our lifetime. The stage is set and prophecies of chapter 24 are being fulfilled as we watch the daily news.

I would point out to you the very first thing Jesus said to the disciples when they asked him what the signs of his coming would be...DO NOT BE DECEIVED.....He hammers that point home many times in that discourse...many will come to do so...

I can debate this issue dk, but I don't think this is the right forum. I would consider "being decieved" as more along the lines of preachers who tell their flocks about how "he will suddenly come with no warning at any time, could be tonight!" that is a false teaching. Nowhere in the Bible does it say anything like this. You 'prefer' to read Matt 24? There is much more knowledge in the Bible than most people understand. Matt 24 also describes conditions that are remarkably like those described during the "tribulation"and in this context, Christ has not returned yet? in fact IF you study scripture for yourself, and not merely take the words of men,,( or even women these days) who tickle the ears of the congregation you will understand that the tribulation is NOT God's wrath on mankind, but in fact the Devils final assault on the church....I know a few things about this dk, but like I said, I doubt that rick wants this kind of discussion here.
