Some shops are pushy and or arrogant but you dont get treated like that at DF&SS. I like supporting local businesses and this is one i will surely return to. Thanks for posting this. I had no clue there was a shop in that area. I work close to them in Greebrier. Good to hear you had a nice experience with them, I'll definitely be checking them out sometime.

No range at this time. There are a couple of local ranges that are not too far away, some better than others. You can also join one of the local clubs.

Yea I got a reply to my e-mail from DF&SS. Kevin seems really cool and I'm def. going to check out his shop soon.

As you said, they don't have range. He mentioned it was due to them being in Chesapeake.

I usually go to A&P off of Lynnhaven. I only live about 10 mins away so that works for me.

I would suggest calling and letting them know your coming. They are not in a location you can see from the road so you'll need directions from them anyway.

I agree, awesome people to deal with. I have purchased and had guns transferred from them with ZERO problems or hassle. Kevin and his gang are stand up folks who are customer service oriented. I highly recommend them for your next purchase. Very reasonable prices!

I think I found them:

Heading north on Battlefield from Great Bridge,
On right before you get to Great Bridge Blvd,
Turn into Great Bridge Business Suites,
Which is just past Great Bridge Radiator,
Drive around back, look to right for gun logo in window,
Next to door for Maritime Cargo Services.

yeah i just went in today, kevin is a great guy, very helpful, the place is a little hard to find, i drove around the parking lot 3 times before i said eff it and went into the maritime cargo door and kevin walked up to greet me, havent bought anything from him yet but i am a big fan of local mom and pop organizations so he'll be seeing a lot of me in the near future

Kevin is totally worth dealing with. Yeah, the shop is a little hard to find and he's got a tiny little gun room, but his prices are on point and they're really good people. I will definitely buy from him again.

Went to visit DF&SS again yesterday (shopping for a Yugo or Russian SKS). Found out they are moving soon to a new location in Greenbrier, near Kempsville and Greentree. Kevin is an absolutely straight-up guy, to the point of telling me who might be able to give me a better deal on a rifle similar to what he had in stock. His prices are in fact quite reasonable, and I might be inclined to pay a little extra to deal with such an honest businessman.

I did finally buy a Yugo SKS from Kevin. The shop has moved, BTW. It is now located at 110 Greentree Road, in a building that until recently was occupied by Basnight Lawn & Garden. It is near the intersection of Kempsville and Greentree Roads, in a white building all by itself. You can actually see his sign now on the front of the building. He gave me a fair price and was great to do business with. I would definitely buy from him again.
