Hello
Hello
I'm new to your forum and I want to thank the volunteers for aiding in providing a local service for Virginia gun owners.
Virginia stands alone in being the most enlightened state as far as common sense laws pertaining to firearms. Thanks to our legislators in Richmond having the sense and courage to uphold the rights of the people, the inroads made by the anti-gun, anti-freedom crowd may be reversed.

Re: Guns in Restaurants serving alcohol
I have to admit that I'm conflicted about the carrying of firearms in establishments that serve alcohol. Just as I wouldn't drink and drive, I wouldn't get anywhere near a gun while drinking. Not just as a responsible citizen, common sense dictates this.
Unfortunately, there are people, some of whom probably hold CHP's that feel they're entitled to carry and drink. Law or no law. How do we as responsible citizens head off this problem? I know that if it becomes legal to carry in bars/restaurants that serve alcohol I won't be drinking, but I will be carrying.

Re: Guns in Restaurants serving alcohol
Well since there supposedly arent any bars in VA (I do know of a couple) you go into restaurants that serve alcohol. Doesnt mean you have to have a Bud with your steak...drink Dr Pepper instead. The oldest soft drink in America...coltman wrote:I have to admit that I'm conflicted about the carrying of firearms in establishments that serve alcohol.
