So, will another appointee by the messiah bite the dust? What I find most interesting about this story is the fact that the report on the internet was edited by "somebody" last Feb. I for one believe someone in the current administration caught those remarks on the internet and asked that they be deleted. The appointee at first denied then changed his mind and now admits he said them...the WH of course defended his denials.

President Obama's new Muslim envoy Rashad Hussain admitted Friday to once defending a man who later pleaded guilty to conspiring to aid a terrorist group -- an admission that contradicts earlier claims from the White House that the quotes had been mistakenly attributed to Hussain.

Hussain, named by Obama as an envoy to the Organization of Islamic Conference, said Friday his comments at the time were "ill conceived or not well formulated."

In 2004, the Washington Report on Middle East Affairs quoted Hussain saying at a seminar on Muslim issues that Sami al-Arian was the victim of "politically motivated persecutions" after al-Arian, a university professor, was charged in 2003 with heading U.S. operations of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

Al-Arian pleaded guilty in 2006 to conspiracy to aid the group -- designated by the U.S. as a foreign terrorist group since 1997 -- and was sentenced to more than four years in prison.

The Web version of the 2004 article in the Washington Report on Middle East Affairs was later edited to delete all of Hussain's comments. Editor Delinda Hanley told Fox News last week she believed the change was made in February 2009.

Hanley didn't recall who requested the edit, but Hussain said Friday that he had contacted the publication to "raise concerns" about comments that he said were "without context, leaving a misimpression."

"Eventuelly, on their own accord, they modified the article," said Hussain, who was a Yale Law student and an editor of the Yale Law Journal at the time of the panel discussion.

The White House initially responded to the controversy by saying this week that the remarks about al-Arian were made by his daughter, Laila al-Arian. But on Friday, Hussain affirmed that the comments were his.

"I made clear at the time that I was not commenting on the allegations themselves (against al-Arian). The judicial process has now concluded, and I have full faith in its outcome," Hussain said. "I made statements on that panel that I now recognize were ill conceived or not well formulated."

This will be a continuing problem for Obama until he and, I hope, his entire administration are expelled from office. Obama, who IMO is a committed Muslim radical and communist, very naturally appoints senior aides and representatives whose views are fully in accord with his.

The problem arises when the appointee utters public statements honestly reflecting those views. Because the aware citizens recognize that the utterances reflect Obama's true outlook with pretty good precision--and given that Obama wishes to present himself as a mainstream American who wants only to improve life for the entire nation--it becomes necessary for the lackey to say, "I didn't say what I said." Why anyone would be surprised by Obama's love of extremist muslims is beyond me. I remember watching a video clip with audio complete at a fundraiser when a female comedian was making vulgar remarks about Israel and Jews, while Obama was seated next to his friend and former Palestinian Terrorist Rashid Khalidi.

.............I dont wish to debate the middle east with anyone here. Everyone has their own opinions about it. My point in this post is that it took about ten minutes . Obama ran for the office of President for two years. There was ample time for Americans to determine what this imposter was all about. Perhaps Bill Marher(sp?) is right, perhaps americans are stupid.

I dont think Americans are necessarily stupid. Rather they are gullible in that they suck up the evening news like it was the pure gospel and believe every word. The problem is that some folks will only watch certain channels and hence they become brainwashed towards whatever bias that channel presents. And, IMHO they are all biased in some form or another. I do believe though that Fox comes closest to airing both sides. I get my news from a variety of sources and do like to perform broad research on subjects that interest and affect me directly.

when I quoted the Idiot from HBO, I only did so to use his words, not his sentiments. He used that phrase because he is a progressive who thinks universal health is something the government needs to do for an ignorant population. I used that phrase because regardless of how many people switch their viewing habits to foxnews, the majority of the public is still ignorant. FOXNEWS has been on the rise since its inception back in 94,95 I think. FOXNEWS was all over Obama when he became the nominee(and even before that) and the internet was ablaze with stories about obama and his communist friends, islamic friends and family history....and you know all this . Even foxnews was not reporting the link between "the mystery couple" and Khalidi...these people were invited to the whitehouse and if you have ever been to the whitehouse you know that NOBODY can even approach the whitehouse without being detected and stopped for Identification(and probable cavity search) and or invitation, and that anyone who would try to bypass security will not even be heard from for several hours or days. This whitehouse put out a story about a couple who simply "walked right through" security somehow, got close enough to the President of the United States to lick his face, took pictures laughing it up with him, and a group of "other radical looking people",(see photo above) and with "bozo" the vice president, among others......it was a lie, and the american people, with a few exceptions bought it hook, line, and sinker.

I catch your meaning on the choice of words. Ignorance does a much better job of describing the state of mind in America. Nothing wrong with being ignorant unless you refuse to correct it when faced with the facts.

Regarding the couple who crashed the party, you are absolutely correct. Never been to the WH itself but have been to a couple of other WH locations. You dont get through the gate unless you are first on the list and have the proper ID. And then you only get in when your escort comes to retrieve you. I've been to one place where leaving your badge at home is a security violation with formal reprimand...security is tighter than a bull frogs butt.

Bottom line is Americans are being hoodwinked by the administration through the media. And IMO this isnt the first one to do it. This one has excellent PR and knows how to leverage situations. They've been planning this for a long time and will milk it, us, and the country dry.
