Re: VGOF Logo Collection
I like it, but I wonder what a color version might look like?. Maybe something that would incorporate the state flag?.

Re: VGOF Logo Collection
Alright - I like that idea. How about this? Maybe try to mute the Seal out a little...

I'd have to agree... too dark and green for my taste. But the design is good, just a little more tweaking needed on the colors and contrast.

Re: VGOF Logo Collection
I don't want the image to seem too "Busy", but I added a revolver and a 1911 for you just to check it out. I'm always glad to hear your input, so please keep the comments coming. Eventually, I hope to have an image on here that is shirt-worthy. I think the first image in the thread will be nice on the left breast of a T-shirt, now just need something decent for the back in a full-size 12x12 or-so image.

I think this logo is the best one so far. The version with the two handguns is kind of busy.allingeneral wrote:Crossed Musket and AR15 - Transparent background

Re: VGOF Logo Collection
I agree with Jay. 2 handguns is too busy. I think the background could be either transparent or blue like the state flag. I also think maybe the rifles should be the same, doesn't matter which one but both the same.OakRidgeStars wrote:I think this logo is the best one so far. Get rid of the guns; replace the staff (spear? stick?) in the seal with an old style rifle or something from the 18th century that would have been used in Virginia.
I've tried rewording this several times, and it keeps coming out sounding harsh. But --(meant in a constructive way) any of the above pictures would have been enough to keep me from joining here. I get the feeling I'm in the wrong forum when I look at them - like it's only for mercenaries or something - guys with big guns.
On the other hand, maybe that's exactly what this forum is about, and I really am in the wrong place

Re: VGOF Logo Collection
Now that I think about it, the logo would look good without the rifles. I'm not so sure about photoshopping the state seal, but we could fix her "wardrobe malfunction"

Ummm, don't know how to tell you this but I really doubt the guys here would admit to having small guns.Karen wrote:Get rid of the guns; replace the staff (spear? stick?) in the seal with an old style rifle or something from the 18th century that would have been used in Virginia.

I understand what you are saying and can see where it would work, I'd like to see a finished product.
Re: VGOF Logo Collection
I think the handguns are definetly a bit busy. I also prefer the two M-16 rather than the musket. I also think a unscooped rifle would look better.

Here are the images that he came up with.

and here's something that I would like to incorporate into an image somewhere...still a little bit of adjustment needed, but this is the original text from the Bill of Rights.

Re: VGOF Logo Collection
WOW I like the i think third VA state with the 2A attachment.
I also liked the 1911 but then again you get the notion we are just a hangun group. The first green one you did.
I also liked the Idea of changing the state seal to hold a muzzle loader & powder horn.
OHH UGH I can't decide!!!
It is times like these I am glad I am not a schizoid.
